Important information about infringement notices, appeals and warnings on Rottnest Island

Rottnest Island Authority rangers and Western Australian Police can issue infringement notices for offences under the Rottnest Island Authority Act 1987 and the Rottnest Island Regulations 1988.

If you have received an infringement, here is how to pay it or to lodge an appeal.

How to pay an infringement

Infringements must be paid within 21 days of the date of issue to avoid further action being taken.

If an appeal or payment is not received within 21 days of the date of issue, we may refer the matter to the Fines Enforcement Registry for collection. If the case is referred to the Fines Enforcement Registry for collection, additional fees will be incurred, and you may face suspension of your drivers licence and/or registration of any vehicles in your name.
