BPOINT In Person

  • In Person is still the most popular way to pay an invoice, with nearly half of all bills paid in person. In Person remains popular as many people still want to pay using cash.
  • With the largest merchant and branch network in Australia, the Bank provides a wide choice of payment points for customers.
  • BPOINT has access to the largest merchant network in Australia, via EFTPOS technology. This provides customers with the convenience of paying bills during their normal shopping routine outside of normal trading hours and offers a cost effective alternative to other operators in the market today.
  • Customers typically pay In Person for their phone and utility bills, and council rates. In Person also suits financial services, property and strata management, and the health care industry.

BPOINT In Person (Branch)

  • BPOINT In Person, via the Bank's branch network, is a service that allows customers to pay bills or invoices using cash, cheque, or their Commonwealth Bank cheque or savings account, at any Commonwealth Bank branch.
  • The Bank then settles a single payment to the biller's account overnight (if a Commonwealth Bank customer) and provides electronic reporting on all customer payments.
  • Customers make a payment using a remittance slip printed at the bottom of the invoice (see below).

BPOINT In Person (Merchant)

  • BPOINT In Person, via the Bank's merchant network, is a cost effective way for businesses to collect over the counter bill payments. It enables customers to pay their bills or invoices at any BPOINT merchant using a debit card, credit card or cash.
  • The Bank provides same day value on funds and settles a single payment to the biller's account overnight (if a Commonwealth Bank customer). Daily electronic reporting is provided for all customer payments.
  • Set your own payment methods and, minimum and maximum payment amounts.
  • A typical BPOINT merchant includes convenience stores, newsagents, pharmacies, video stores, supermarkets and tertiary education. Merchants are provided with point of sale to promote their store as a BPOINT site.
  • Accept your own payments through an EFTPOS facility at your front counter and lower your In Person payments even further.
